The Last Armada class Survey Shuttle is a non-combatant auxiliary smallcraft.
- It is a civilian ship and a Survey Shuttle.
Description (Specifications)
The Survey Shuttle is a historical design produced in the Terran Confederation during the early 22nd century. Many example of the class were carried aboard the vessels of the Last Armada as they fled the Destruction of Terra at the hands of the Vilani Imperium in 2147AD. The class were sturdy and reliable and endured more than a century of hard service.
- The vessel is a TL-11 design.
Basic Ship Characteristics
Following the Imperial Navy and IISS Universal Ship Profile and data, additional information is presented in the format shown here. The small craft factor indicates the number of squadrons (of ten craft) carried on the ship. Tonnage on the universal ship profile is shown in kilotons (thousands of tons) where necessary. [1]
No. | Category | Remarks |
---|---|---|
1. | Tonnage | The Survey Shuttle is constructed using a 60 Ton hull built in a Cylinder configuration. The hull is partially streamlined, giving a relatively limited atmospheric performance that is reliant on its onboard gravitic systems.
|
2. | Crew | x1 crew.
Accommodations
Accessible areas of the hull are fitted with grav plates and inertial compensators and have full life support and environmental systems.
|
3. | Performance | The vessel mounts a Maneuver-3 drive and a Power Plant-3, giving performance of 3-G acceleration. The ship has an agility rating of 3. The internal fuel tankage gives the power plant 4 weeks duration.
|
4. | Electronics | Adjacent to the small craft bridge is a Model/2 computer: no backup computer is installed.
|
5. | Hardpoints | x1 hardpoint.
|
6. | Armament | The normal weapons fit-out for it is:
|
7. | Defenses | The hull is plated, structurally reinforced, and built with secure bulkheads and compartments that give it a High Guard armor rating of 2.
|
8. | Craft | The vessel carries no subcraft. |
9. | Fuel Treatment | The vessel has internal fuel tankage of 1.8 Tons.
|
10. | Cost | The basic cost of the vessel is MCr41.150
|
11. | Construction Time | 27 weeks (6 months) as standard.
|
12. | Comments | Standard cargo capacity amounts to 19.6 Tons.

History & Background (Dossier)
Survey Shuttles were constructed in great numbers at Terran-controlled shipyards throughout the Interstellar Wars period. Large numbers were transported to the Expedition's private port facilities in the empty systems lying to rimward of Terra. Once there, their fitting out was completed and they were laid up against the Expedition's future needs.
