Lanth has a population between 10,000 and 10 million sophonts, lacking the industrial base to be completely self-supporting. This system serves as the capital for the subsector. It is a member of Third Imperium in the Lanth Subsector of Spinward Marches Sector and in the Domain of Deneb. Lanth, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estate of an Imperial knight, a member of the Imperial Nobility charged with overseeing the world. The system supports both an Imperial Naval Base and a Scout Base with the additional starship traffic.
Astrography & Planetology[edit]
Lanth is a non-industrial world separated from the majority of its subsector by the Abyss, and is only accessible through Lunion Subsector or by jump-4. While this is not very important to naval or some scout vessels, its location has a significant impact on trade.
