Description (Specifications)

Language is one of the key characteristics of sophontdom. Through the facility of language, sophonts gain advantages over less sophisticated lifeforms. Not only can language-speaking sophonts able to better coordinate and collaborate with one another, but language enables the use of technology.

Language is not only an immediate form of communication but can become an Art. Speaking, as a performance, whether impromptu - or from plays, prose and/or poetry - is an Art. Writing is an Art both in the composition of the piece and in its presentation as a piece of Graphical genius.

Many lower lifeforms use language and these early communicative mediums communicate basic physiological needs, emotions, and many other kinds of concrete thoughts. More advanced language leads to abstract thought, which in turn leads to technology.
