History & Background / Dossier

This world was a focal point of the Red Zone Affair, a conflict between polices of the Third Imperium and the Solomani Autonomous Region. The Imperial Interstellar Scout Service had no formal control over the territories beyond the Imperial frontier but nevertheless maintained a presence there. It recommended that Red Zone interdiction be imposed on Kvazaat to protect the native sophonts. The Solomani Colonial Office ignored these recommendations and the Kwaz homeworld was fully opened to Solomani settlement in 856.

World Starport

Kvazaat has a Class A Starport, an excellent quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and other kinds of repair, and construction of both starships and non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.
