• As an industrial world, this planet has well-developed manufacturing and processing industries. Manufactured goods are a major export item.
• Its economy is rapidly growing and living conditions are expected to rapidly improve barring outside forces.
• It is a Non-Aligned world dominated by human sophonts located in the Hedreunides Subsector of Matzen Sector.

• The world serves as the subsector capital with the significant extra trade and prestige associated with that role.
• This world is a "Twilight Zone World", a planet that is tidally-locked to its star. It has a hot side that permanently faces the star, a cold side that permanently faces away, and a narrow twilight zone in-between.
• World name is pronounced 'Kud-roo-tay-nee-aa'

Mainworld Data

• Kudrutania has an orbital period of 47.48 standard days.
• The planet is tidally locked to its sun with one face permanently facing the sun and one permanently away. The people who call the planet home live in the twilight zones of the world.
• The planet has no day and night period as such rather just a permanent twilight in the zones were people live.
• Kudrutania has an axial tilt of 16 degrees.
• The average surface temperature of the planet is 32.7c / 90.8f

Mainworld Size (S)

Kudrutania is a Meso World between 10,400km and 12,000km in diameter. The world has a standard gravity between 0.7G and 0.9G. The horizon will appear about 4.7km away.

• The planet has a diameter of 7,174 miles / 11,478 kilometres.
• Kudrutania has a molten core with a density of 1.1 of standard.
• The surface gravity of the planet is 0.97 of standard and as such gravity is classified as normal.

Mainworld Atmosphere (A)

Kudrutania has a pressure of 0.71 to 1.49 atmospheres. While a Standard Atmosphere does not require survival gear this atmosphere also contains an unusual taint such as such as disease, a hazardous gas mix, pollutants, or sulfur compounds which requires the use of a Filter Mask. Some taints may require more protective equipment. TL–3 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.

• The atmosphere is Kudrutania is classified as standard oxygen-nitrogen mix with a pollutant taint. This atmosphere is breathable provided a filter mask is used.

Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)

Kudrutania has 55-65% of its surface covered by liquid water. It has significant large liquid bodies. Wilderness refueling is possible.

• The surface of the planet has been calculated to be covered 61% with water. The water suffers from the same pollutants as the atmosphere and as such is classified as tainted liquid water. The water will cause skin irritation if exposure is prolonged and the water is harmful to most sophont life forms without some form of filtration being used.

Satellites:

• The planet has no satellites.

Mainworld Geography and Topography

• The planet has 4 larger continents and then several islands.
• What should be noted is the water covering the planet is purely in the twilight zone and in the form of ice sheets on the dark side of the planet.
• The sun facing side of the planet is bleached rock with searing temperatures and high levels of radiation meaning the vast majority of sophont life cannot live there. Travel across this region is rarely done in anything other than space going vessels as the vast majority of other vehicles struggle to cope in the heat and other hazards.

Native Lifeforms

• Kudrutania does have native live forms ranging from small land based animals and birds up to large bear like creatures that live on the edge of the dark side ice sheets.
• There is ocean life however a lot of what was once there has become extinct due to the constant pollutants being dumped into the oceans.
• The majority of life forms on the planet have still to be catalogued and very little effort is being made to do so.

World Starport (St)

Kudrutania has a Class B Starport, a good quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and most kinds of repair, and construction of non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.

• Kudrutania has an extensive starport that although is currently classified as a Type B is bordering on becoming Type A.
• There are both planetside and orbital starports and they are dominated by large merchant vessels transporting the ores and crystals being mined on the planet.
• In addition to the starports there are many spaceports located across the surface that are also used to transport people and products etc both across the surface and also up into orbit and across the wider system.

Port facilities within the system include:

• All facilities you would expect to find at a Type B starport can be found here and usually multiples of them.
• The planet wide infrastructure to support the starport is as impressive as it is extensive.

World Government (G)

Kudrutania is governed by a Non-charismatic Dictatorship. A continuation of the charismatic dictatorship, where the original leadership has died or retired and replaced by allies or protégés. The reasons for the change in government remain as well as the assertion of rights to rule.

• The presidential role on Kudrutania was originally a freely democratically elected individual. Over 100 years ago this changed. An especially powerful businessman managed to reach the high office of President and in a matter of years put in place legislation that allowed him to remain in office until his death. This legislation was backed up by significant changes across all governmental roles that ensured the president was almost untouchable.
• The President subsequently has named his/her successor and although technically the people are given a vote to approve this decision invariably the named individual does gain the position.
• The government of Kudrutania has the President at its head and then a large group of individuals who act as the Presidents chief advisors across numerous key roles. Beneath each of these officials are numerous councils and committees who are entrusted to ensure the Presidents wishes are delivered.

World Military

• The planet maintains an extensive well-armed and equiped military. This force also acts as the police on the planet so visitors will be met with quite intimidating military personnel at the starport instead of the usual "friendlier face" of a police force.
• There are several units that are dedicated and fanatical soldiers whose job is to ensure protection of the President and the Government. These special forces are highly trained and have the best quality and most up to date equipment.

World Law (L)

Kudrutania has an extreme law level which covers every area of interaction. Laws are complex, detailed, and difficult to understand. Every interaction with the government requires an Advocate. Law enforcement is omnipresent and strict. Legal proceeding can take months to years to resolve and may involve dozens of people. A few worlds with this law level may be a Red Zone and others will be an Amber Zone. All objects specifically manufactured as weapons are typically regulated or prohibited (with no exception for private residences; visiting starships are only protected so long as they stay within designated starports and approach corridors).

• The law on Kudrutania is applied without deviation regardless of locale and individual accused of breaking it. The law is policed by the planetary military who have a reputation for being heavy handed and collatoral victims and damage is a regular occurance.

• The main transport routes utilised by the population are the ultra high speed train networks that run both above and below ground and interconnect across hundreds of stations.
