Varnak-Krayal System
The primary is Varnak, a white subgiant star. It has a luminosity of 8.7 Sols, a mass of 1.85 Sols, and a diameter of 3.534 million km. The inner system consists of (I) a very hot small gas giant, (II) a sparse stony planetoid belt, (III) a dense stony planetoid belt, (IV) a sparse stony planetoid belt, and (V) a corrosive atmosphere inferno world. (VI) Krayal orbits within the habitable zone and is designated the mainworld. (VII) a thin atmosphere hospitable world, (VIII) a ringed very large gas giant, and (IX) a vacuum iceworld form the outer system. Many of the worlds retain satellites.

(VI) Krayal
(VI) Krayal is designated the mainworld. It orbits Varnak at a mean distance of 2.62 AU (392 million km), within the habitable zone. It has an orbital period of 3 years 43 days and a rotation period of 27 hours. The axial tilt is 16 degrees. Krayal has a diameter of 8,545 km, a density of 5.38 g/cm³, and a surface gravity of 0.65 G. The world is geologically active. Its atmosphere is rated as Thin, Tainted, with a mean surface pressure of 0.44 bar and a composition of 78% nitrogen (N2), 21% oxygen (O2), and 1% argon (Ar), water vapor (H2O), carbon dioxide (CO2), neon (Ne) and other trace gases. The atmospheric taint is caused by hydrocarbon pollutants of industrial origin. Approximately 22% of the surface is covered in seas of liquid water: average tidal ranges exceed 0.1m. Mean surface temperature: 35°C. The climate is rated as Hot and experiences minor seasonal changes during the local year. The atmosphere is active and strong weather systems driven by the star surge across the globe.
Mainworld Size (S)
This world is a Meso World between 7,200km and 8,800km in diameter. The world has a standard gravity between 0.4G and 0.57G. The horizon will appear about 4km away.
Mainworld Atmosphere (A)
This world has a pressure of 0.43 to 0.70 atmospheres. While the thin atmosphere does not require survival gear this atmosphere also contains an unusual taint such as such as disease, a hazardous gas mix, pollutants, or sulfur compounds which requires the use of a Filter Mask. Some taints may require more protective equipment. TL–3 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.
Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)
This world has 15-25% of its surface covered by liquid water or ice. There may be a few small seas. Wilderness refueling is possible. Water for the inhabitants needs to be imported and extensively recycled. These worlds are Hell Worlds or Poor Worlds depending on their atmosphere.

Varnak-Krayal System
Krayal, the mainworld, has extensive native life, consisting primarily of minute multicellular organisms and stromatolite-parallels that can be found in almost every ecological niche. Their metabolic functions drive the process of atmospheric renewal. The largest, most sophisticated fauna are small aquatic worms.
The cold marginally hospitable world lying in orbital position (VII) (within the H+ region of the outer system) has extensive native life, consisting of microscopic organisms, stromatolite-parallels and primitive flora that can be found in almost every ecological niche. Their metabolic functions drive the process of atmospheric renewal.
