The Kidulans of Kidulaar (Fornast 0819) are a Minor Non-Human Race with a non-humanoid appearance and technologically competent sophonts.
Description (Specifications)
They are a Minor Race from Kidulaar (Fornast 0819)
Quite large for sophonts, the typical adult Kidulan is between two and three meters long and nearly two meters high. Kidulans are arthropoids, resembling Terran isopods to some extent, though they possess three rows of fleshy tentacles instead of segmented legs. The forwardmost tentacles also frequently serve as manipulators, though all of them are capable of identifying food the individual passes over, and can transfer identified food to the mouth.
Kidulans grow all through their lives, though their outer armor plates eventually get too heavy for them to lift. Some also suffer from uncontrolled armor plate growth which can eviscerate the unfortunate Kidulan internally.

Astrography)
This race is primarily located in the following areas:
Charted Space:
Kidulans get very large, and find space travel tiresome if they cannot move around and meet other passengers. While a few ships built to their requirements do exist, most Kidulans who feel the need to travel do so when fairly young, and either arrange for their final trip home before they get too large, or seek a niche for themselves on other worlds and settle in. While ex-patriot Kidulans are a very small portion of their populace, there have been enough of them over the years that they are a commonly recognized race in the spinward half of Fornast and parts of Core. Persistent colonies do not exist in many places, as the Kidulans have found that they require vast open spaces, their own native grasses, and other specific foodstuffs to reproduce successfully.
