This world is split into a many individual powers with no world wide government having overall control. The population is still small enough that interaction between the states is minimal, and what trade and political agreements there are, have been agreed on an adhoc basis. The planet is pretty stable currently, though outright war has been declared in the past.

Like all Gaian worlds, Keshi II is overflowing with life, which fills all the possible niches available. Keshi II is mostly ocean, with only a small portion of its surface covered by land. The seas are vast and stormy, with life on land limited to plants and animals adapted to island living. Keshi II has a very low population, and they like it that way. There is no freedom here. The population is absolutely loyal to the state and wouldn't have it any other way.

There are a few space ports near to the largest towns, but they are rarely little more than a small collection of buildings for storage and refueling, as well as a flat bit of ground to land on.
