• It is a member of the Third Imperium in the Dunea Subsector of Core Sector in the Domain of Sylea.

Description (Planetology)

During the Long Night, it was the capital of the Chanestin Kingdom. Rulers of both the world and the larger interstellar kingdom included Brzeszcze and Nayarit.

History & Background (Dossier)

A high population world located in the Dunea Subsector of the Core Sector.

• Kehsi is a member of the Imperium.

Before the Third Imperium, the Chanestin Kingdom ruled here, a rival to the growing Sylean Federation.

Sylean trader-emissaries, arriving in -107, received very short shrift when they spoke of their growing nation, bound together by economic self-interest and mutual defense. The summary execution of these “spies” brought the Syleans in force against the Chanestin systems.

Timeline

-1304: King Brzeszcze decides that the time was right for Keshi to take advantage of its superior technology and conquer its neighboring worlds.

-1250: The Chanestin Kingdom reaches its largest size.

-200: Having been depleted by the deprivations of the Long Night, the Kingdom now has only one functioning jump ship.

Circa -120: Queen Nayarit rebuilds a jump-capable fleet in secret.

-107: Sylean trader-emissaries arrive at Keshi and speak of their growing Federation. The Chanestin are quick to recognize the threat represented by their nation's federal ideas. On the orders of Queen Nayarit, the trade mission is executed. When elements of the Sylean fleet arrive at Keshi, they are engaged by the Chanestin system defense fleet.

2: The on-off Chanestin-Syelan War ends in a Sylean -- now Third Imperium -- victory, with the conquering of Keshi and final surrender of the Chanestin Kingdom. Keshti incorporated into the new Imperium.
