Starships are designed with the Classic Traveller format, using High Guard Shipyard v1.13 written by Andrea Vallance.

The KE11 Ancestor class Frigate is a light warship.

Description (Specifications)[edit]

The hull is a fast and sleek needle/wedge configuration which is uncommon among the empire's designs. They are streamlined needle/wedge structures capable of wilderness ocean refueling. They carry enough internal fuel for two jumps and are fitted with additional drop tanks for Jump-1 as needed for extended range operations.

  • Although it has good evasive agility it suffers from lighter armor than many smaller empire ships. The large missile bay is supplemented by a deadly accurate turret of three beam lasers, which are rare owing to the empire's preference for the more damaging pulse lasers.
  • They carry a 30T Ship's Boat and two 4T Air/Rafts. A section of marine commandos are used for boarding actions, inspections and orbital assaults. The ten low berths can be used for additional troops, or for wounded or prisoners.
  • It has a 37 sophont crew and 12 marines.
