The KE11 Ancestor class Frigate is a light warship.
- It is a military ship and a Frigate.
Description (Specifications)
The hull is a fast and sleek needle/wedge configuration which is uncommon among the empire's designs. They are streamlined needle/wedge structures capable of wilderness ocean refueling. They carry enough internal fuel for two jumps and are fitted with additional drop tanks for Jump-1 as needed for extended range operations.
- Although it has good evasive agility it suffers from lighter armor than many smaller empire ships. The large missile bay is supplemented by a deadly accurate turret of three beam lasers, which are rare owing to the empire's preference for the more damaging pulse lasers.
- They carry a 30T Ship's Boat and two 4T Air/Rafts. A section of marine commandos are used for boarding actions, inspections and orbital assaults. The ten low berths can be used for additional troops, or for wounded or prisoners.
- It has a 37 sophont crew and 12 marines.

History & Background (Dossier)
It is based on an ancient design captured from an old enemy culture, these frigates were widely admired among the admiralty. The design was copied and improved upon. They are used in patrols for the Korsumug Empire.
