History and background
Settled from Amondiage (Reft 2325) during the sub-light expansion of the Islands clusters. In turn, Joyeuse settled St. Hilaire (Reft 0930) and Besancon (Reft 1526). [2]
Straddling the divider between the New and Old Islands, Joyeuse is a well-developed world with a government similar to that of Esperanza (Reft 0926). It has a colony at Quichotte (Reft 1729) [3]
There was even one case of voluntary union, when Quichotte became a province of Joyeuse. [4]
