Jewelled Void

The Jewelled Void is a Shadow Rift located within Coro Sector, Hirada Sector, Reikan Sector and Ulund Sector, within the Infinitys Shore region of the Empty Stars.

Details / Specifications

The Jewelled Void measures around 60 parsecs coreward-rimward by around 20 parsecs spinward-trailing, though some regions are narrower and its coreward parts are as much as 35 parsecs across. It links to the Grand Arc in Mycene Sector. The Spark Nebula lies within its coreward edge.

History

The Void was first charted by ultra-long-range scans performed by vessels from the Last Armada sometime around 2255AD. Its exact position and dimensions were plotted by the University of Selasia Spinward Survey between 5555AD and 5570AD.

The Jewelled Void is named for the various stars and minor clusters that lie within it, said to "shine like jewels".
