Jeffrey McManus is a Traveller author, contributor, and fan.
Description (Biography)[edit]
Jeffrey McManus is a writer and technologist based in San Francisco, California.
- After attending the University of California, Santa Barbara, he worked as a newspaper reporter for two years, then switched careers to technology consulting. During this time he established a specialization in the development and management of online communities and developer-oriented platform products.
- From 2003 to 2005 he ran eBay's platform evangelism team; in 2005 he co-founded and led Yahoo's Developer Network.
- McManus is the author of six books covering software development.
- He currently runs a consultancy, Platform Associates, which helps businesses develop and bring platform products to market.
- He is also the developer of the document-sharing web site Approver.com and the open-source portal tool Tinypug.
