Jack Personal Armor is a natural or synthetic leather jacket or body suit covering the torso and upper arms and legs. [1] Jack is a leather covering worn over the torso, arms, and legs. Although jack is ineffective against firearms and energy weapons, it is useful on high law level worlds which permit only blade weapons. It is light, inexpensive, and easy to purchase on nearly any world. [2]
Jack is somewhat better than ordinary clothing or bare skin when defending against blades; it is worthless against guns. [1]
