Physiology & Ecology

The Issugur are a very primitive, isolated race, numbering only in the hundreds of thousands. They live on a vast plateau region of their home planet, which has been declared off-limits to everyone by the planetary ruling council. Groups rarely number over a few hundred, lead by a single chieftain. They have developed an agricultural community which is only now beginning to use available surface metals. Their crops are limited by the acidic content of the local rains. Hardy local plants survive quite well but are not very nutritious, so limit the overall population.

Parthinia: A very dense atmosphere limits human habitation to the high plateaus and mountaintops. The heavier gasses form a cloud which hugs the world's surface, which the natives can look down upon as a sort of cloud sea. Parthinia is basically a one-city world, populated by all sorts of beings: Vilani, Vargr, Sword Worlders, and some others. Most are engaged in a successful deep mining operations performed on the low surface of the planet, under the thick veil of the atmosphere. Exports are iron and lanthanum.

Issugur: Minor human race living on the plateaus of Parthinia (Foreven). A very primitive, isolated race numbering only in the hundreds of thousands, who were prematurely contacted by miners.

The Issugur are very suspicious of outsiders, and are likely to flee if approached. Their religion centers around sun worship and a reverence for the local cloud seas.
