Isenold is a poor, nonindustrial world.

  • As a nonindustrial world, it requires extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society. The need to import most manufactured and high technology goods drives the price of these goods up in the open market.
  • This world has few prospects for economic development.
  • This world has an exploration base, which is similar to an Imperial Scout Base, capable of handling explorer personnel and exploratory starships.
  • It is the homeworld of the Isen, a sophontic species

Native Lifeforms

Sophont: Isen 'Isen' are small (0.7m average) frog like creatures, bipedal with webbed hands and feet. They can live both in the water permanently and on land for long periods. When in water their bodies absorb it through pores in their skin, and when on land the oxygen in this absorbed water is extracted through millions of gill-like organs scattered throughout their bodies. Because of this, an Isen body always looks damp. They have fangs and are venomous. They live extremely long lives for their size of around 500 years. Total population of Isen on Isenold is estimated at around 500,000

There is extensive plant life around the equatorial areas , mainly medium height trees with thick upper foliage. Apart from the Isen, also common is the Basa
