Irinkuka Subsector is a short chain of worlds in this subsector, called the "Irinkuka Key", connects the spinward section of the Derri Main, to coreward, with the spinward end of the Tharrynra Main, to rimward.

  • This route, however, is less heavily used than the Dikhari Main and Shumduur Connector route to trailing, primarily because the majority of the Derri Main worlds are in Derri subsector, to core-trailing of this subsector, but an important secondary reason is because most traffic leaving the Derri Main goes toward either Core (along the Ganad Main) or the Antares Main, while most traffic leaving the Tharrynra Main crosses to the Ganad Main and continues on to Core.
  • It used to be known as Lifity Subsector.

Description[edit]

The Irinkuka Subsector is defended by 122nd Fleet.

Subsector Summary: 1105[edit]

Irinkuka, subsector J of Fornast contains 32 worlds with an estimated population of 52 billion, a per capita income of Cr6,017, and a total economy is BCr313,578. These worlds originate an interstellar trade of BCr1,709 through 26 starports (7 Class A, 5 Class B, 12 Class C, 2 Class D) employing 313,300 people. Driving this interstellar trade are five Agricultural (Ag) worlds, two Non-Agricultural (Na) worlds, five Pre-Agricultural (Pa) worlds, one Pre-Industrial (Pi) world, four Rich (Ri) worlds, and one Industrial (In) world. The governments in Irinkuka maintain six Naval bases, and two Scout bases. The average technology level is 9 (with most between 6 and 11). The highest technology level is 15 at Sampson (Fornast 1024).

Irinkuka, subsector J of Fornast contains 45 stars and 345 identified planets; 20 monostellar systems, 11 binary systems, one trinary system, and no systems with four or more stars. 23 of the 32 systems (71%) have native gas giants. There are one Asteroid (As) belt, no Desert (De) worlds, two Garden (Ga) worlds, no Ice-capped (Ic) worlds, three Poor (Po) worlds, four Vacuum (Va) worlds, and three Water (Wa) or Ocean (Oc) worlds.

Irinkuka has an estimated population of 52 billion distributed across two High population (Hi) worlds, four Moderate population (Ph) worlds, 15 Non-industrial (Ni) worlds, eight Low population (Lo) worlds, and no Barren (Ba) worlds. The highest population world is Pirese (Fornast 1127). The population consists of 2 sophont groups including one native sophont.
