Description (Specifications)[edit]

This tank is a classic example of "too much of a good thing". Although it served for many year sas the standard TL–15 tank for the Imperial Marines, Imperial Army and Imperial Guard units, at 20 displacement tons it was simply too large for the capabilities it provided and was not that much more capable than the Trepida tanks only half its size. While this was not an issue on the battlefield, it was a logistical nightmare as the transport requirement exceeded the battlefield capabilities delivered, doubling the personnel costs over it's lifetime.

This vehicle comes in two variants: Standard and Command. The Command variant carries two additional headquarters personnel and up to three additional persons, but has a dummy main weapon. The command variant was a failure. As an (effectively) unarmed vehicle that was required to stand in the line of battle this critical shortcoming could easily have been overcome by placing the headquarters' administrative personnel in an APC at the rear.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

This tank, and the command variant were in service at the start of the Fifth Frontier War and carried on in service into the Regency period, being relegated to less deployable Regency Army units after the mid 1150s. Production ceased by the late 1190s.
