These vehicles are part of the Imperial class Grav APC family.

Description (Specifications)

In keeping with Imperial doctrine, platoon command vehicles double as the platoon fire support element, replicating the role of weapons platoons in low-tech leg-infantry units. Thus the Imperial Marine Fire Support APC is a fully capable combat unit, with sensors and firepower equal to or better than those in the squad APCs, but with command features layered on top of those. These vehicles don't have all the capabilities of the company command vehicles.

History & Background (Dossier)

This design was developed with the initial Imperial class Grav APC (Marines) to meet the Platoon command requirements of TL–15 warfare as practiced by the Imperial Marines.

Those Imperial Marines facing the Zhodani Consulate and Sword Worlds Confederation in the Spinward Marches Sector had fully upgraded to be using these systems in time for the Fifth Frontier War.
