History & Background (Dossier)
The Hygiea class Frigates, are considered inexpensive in bulk and are capable of wilderness ocean refueling without assistance. They use their heavy missile barrages to cripple enemy vessels. The size of this main weapon limited their agility. The secondary weapon array is generally regarded as well balanced. They lack hull armor, but retain screens. They feature good range, especially if the Jump-3 drop tanks can be employed.
