Using a 100-ton hull, the Aslan scout is intended primarily for exploration duties. Fuel tankage of 40 tons support the power plant and one jump-2. Adjacent to the bridge is a computer Model/2. There are two staterooms and no low berths. The ship has one hard port and one ton allocated to fire control. Installed on the hardpoint is one double turret, usually armed with one missile rack and one pulse laser. There is one ship's vehicle: an ATV. The hull is streamlined.
The scout requires a crew of two: pilot and engineer/navigator.
