A Homeworld is a planetological term used by sophontologists to describe the systems or worlds on which Native intelligent Life(NIL) is thought to have arisen.

The usage of the term has been somewhat extended since variant races, chimerae, artificial product-species as a result of Geneering, and other kinds of not strictly native lifeforms have their initial place of creation also marked as homeworlds in IISS star charts.

  • Please note that a number of species have no known homeworlds.

Worlds & Sectors (Astrography)

Homeworlds can be found throughout Charted Space and beyond, but for unknown reasons, the greatest concentrations of sophont life are located within Charted Space.
