Home (Al 1009) is a high-population, pre-rich garden world with a billion or more sophonts in population size, a near-ideal utopian environment conducive to most sophonts, and still lacks adequate population to expand its economy to a rich status.
- Its economy and population are rapidly growing and living conditions are expected to quickly rise barring outside forces.
- This world is also the overall capital of an interstellar government with the massive extra trade and prestige associated with that role.
- This is a "high technology" world with technology achievements at, near, or over technology standards for Charted Space.
- This is a temperate world, with a climate of pleasant, average temperatures, considered to be an ideal or near-ideal environment by many different sophont species.
- It is a member of the Solomani Confederation in the Aldebaran Subsector of Aldebaran Sector.
- This world has a nearby Naval Base, usually associated with military starships.
- This world has a nearby Military Base, usually associated with military ground forces.

Mainworld Data
Home is 12,422 kilometers in diameter and has a standard atmosphere.
- Home has an axial tilt of 12° and its seasons are less severe than those of Terra. Slight differences in geography and physical data give Home a smaller albedo than Terra (about 0.285 compared to Terra's 0.300), which means that Home absorbs somewhat more heat than does Terra. Even though Home is slightly farther from its star, its average temperature is 18°C.
- Home has no natural satellites.
Mainworld Geography & Topography
Sixty percent of the world's surface is covered by water, dividing the surface into three continents. There is one large archipelago with many large island subcontinents. Approximately 10% of Home's surface is covered by icecaps.

Point of Interest: First City Highport
The Secretariat meets in mammoth chambers in Home's First City. Home's hive-like orbital highport, Resolution (popularly known as 'Wolfe's Rock'), was carved from an asteroid that was pushed into orbit. Resolution houses the secure chambers of the Solomani High Council as well as Ivan Wolfe Naval Base, the adjacent Albadawi Naval Academy, and a large Confederation Marine garrison.
Resolution orbits every 25 hours, as it rests higher than the geosynchronous altitude. Thus, it progresses visibly each day as viewed from the surface.
History & Background (Dossier)
Home is a high population garden world and capital of the Solomani Confederation, located in Subsector B of Aldebaran Sector.
World Starport
Home (Al 1009) has a Class A Starport, an excellent quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and other kinds of repair, and construction of both starships and non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.
World Technology Level
Home (Al 1009) possesses a Technology Level of TL–14 or TL-E in Hexadecimal Notation.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Early meson communicators.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Miniature super-batteries, early collectors, and advanced fusion plants.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land, Water & Air: Personal G-Tubes and advanced gravcraft.
- Space: Advanced interplanetary spacecraft (System Craft).
- FTL: Jump Drive-5.
World Government
Home (Al 1009) is governed by an Impersonal Bureaucracy. The leadership of the government is another form (democracy, dictatorship, oligarchy), but the bureaucracy dictates government policy and its execution. Government leadership is reduced to little more than figureheads and does not select the bureaucracy leadership or its members.
World Law Level
Home (Al 1009) has an extreme law level which covers every area of interaction. Laws are complex, detailed, and difficult to understand. Every interaction with the government requires an Advocate. Law enforcement is omnipresent and strict. Legal proceeding can take months to years to resolve and may involve dozens of people. A few worlds with this law level may be a Red Zone and others will be an Amber Zone. All objects specifically manufactured as weapons are typically regulated or prohibited (with no exception for private residences; visiting starships are only protected so long as they stay within designated starports and approach corridors).

World Culture
Home is the standard for Terran culture in exile.
On the surface, there are many states and sub-states that maintain officially recognized bastions of Terran culture.
Urbanization
Most urban centers have been designed and built from the ground up (and down) using Tech-E techniques, materials, and design patterns. Each is intended to last for thousands of years and be both interesting and unique.
Smaller cities and towns are built to capture the look-and-feel of specific areas of Old Earth.
Historical Data
With the end of the Solomani Rim War in 1002, the Confederation's former capital Terra (Solomani Rim 1827) was occupied by Imperial forces and the Solomani were forced to establish a new capital approximately thirty parsecs Rimward. Home was selected for its close proximity to Terra physically, for the similarities between its star and Sol, and for its distance from the Imperial border.
- Prior to becoming the Confederation capital, Home's history was uneventful. Small Sancaterrist farming communities dotted the world, many of which still exist in Home's scenic outback.
