History & Background (Dossier)
Hieronymus, formerly known as Khariishish (Anglic: Khariishish), is a poor, non-agricultural, non-industrial desert world located in the Esperance Cluster within Esperance Subsector of the Solomani Rim. The Hieronymus system is a member of the Imperium and has been issued an Red Zone travel advisory.
The world is interdicted due to the presence of a small but mysterious colony of humans with Psionic abilities. While this world is illegal to visit, the planet denizens themselves are actually quite courteous.[2] Long-range observations show that the Hieronymus colony is definitely Solomani in origin, and may have been in place as far back as the closing centuries of the Long Night.
It is important to note that after shipwreck of Captain Katanga, the Scout Service's follow-up discovered no trace of the supposed "civilization of psions". This has lead to the Shipwreck of Captain Katanga becoming a bit of a legend of the spacelanes. A veritable Roanoke.[3]
