Hieronymus is a poor, non-agricultural and nonindustrial desert world with no free-standing water.

  • It is unable to produce quality foodstuffs and must import them.
  • This world has few prospects for economic expansion and life is very bleak and trying here.
  • It requires extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society. Having to import most manufactured and high tech goods drives the price up for these items at this world.
  • This a "forbidden" world designated as a Red Zone with an environment, laws, customs, life forms, or other conditions that make it extremely dangerous to visitors. Everyone is forbidden to travel here.
  • It is a member of the Third Imperium in the Esperance Subsector of Solomani Rim Sector in the Domain of Sol.
  • It is located in the Esperance Cluster.
  • This world has an alternate orthography of Heironymous.

History & Background (Dossier)

Hieronymus, formerly known as Khariishish (Anglic: Khariishish), is a poor, non-agricultural, non-industrial desert world located in the Esperance Cluster within Esperance Subsector of the Solomani Rim. The Hieronymus system is a member of the Imperium and has been issued an Red Zone travel advisory.

The world is interdicted due to the presence of a small but mysterious colony of humans with Psionic abilities. Long-range observations show that the Heironymus colony is definitely Solomani in origin, and may have been in place as far back as the closing centuries of the Long Night.

Imperial High (Landed) Nobility

Despite being a world under Imperial control, this world-system's Red Zone rating has kept any Imperial Nobility from being appointed to it.
