Hetage is a poor, low-population desert hellworld, with a population of less than 10,000 sophonts struggling to survive in a inhospitable environment.
- Living on a hellworld is a constant struggle. Nearly every day and sometimes even hourly, the inhabitants of this world face life-threatening challenges.
- This world has no free-standing water.
- It is a Non-Aligned world dominated by human sophonts located in the Ventura (Theta Borealis) Subsector of Theta Borealis Sector.
Description (Astrography & Planetology)[edit]
Hetage has a solitary primary star.
- It is a white main sequence.

System Data[edit]
The worlds of the system have been surveyed. They consist of:
- The mainworld.
- x8 secondary rocky worlds.
- x1 planetoid belt.
- x1 gas giant.
Mainworld Data[edit]
The mainworld orbits within the star's Habitable Zone.
- It lies within the zones warmer inner H+ region
- It receives higher levels of stellar energy.
- The world orbits beyond the stars Jump Shadow.
Mainworld Size (S)[edit]
Hetage is a Meso World between 7,200km and 8,800km in diameter. The world has a standard gravity between 0.4G and 0.57G. The horizon will appear about 4km away.
Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]
Hetage has a pressure of 0.71 to 1.49 atmospheres. A Standard Atmosphere does not require survival gear and will likely be easy for most sophonts to breathe.
Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]
Hetage has no free-standing water or ice on the surface. Wilderness refueling isn't possible on this world. Water for the inhabitants needs to be imported and extensively recycled. These worlds are classified Desert World or a Hell World depending on their atmosphere.
Satellites:[edit]
Hetage retains two small vacuum moons.
- They orbit once every few weeks.
Mainworld Geography and Topography[edit]
No centrally held map of the world exists within AAB Library Data records.
- Locally, detailed maps may be available.
- Verified updated charts are constantly sought.
- Detailed survey data commands premium prices.
(Placeholder chart, predominantly dry world.)
Native Lifeforms[edit]
Primitive native life occupying a number of ecological niches. Its metabolic functions drive the process of atmospheric renewal.
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
Hetage is a commercial outpost and transshipment hub.
- The resources of the system are largely untapped.
There is regular activity within the system.
- Commercial traffic is frequent: ships regularly arrive and depart.
- Commo occasionally picks up signals and private chatter. Communications are in Riftian Anglic.
- Multiple commercial navigation beacons will be active.
- A few vessels may be operating among the other worlds and moons that make up the system.
Note that social data, though only 40 years old, may be out of date.
- Verified updated data is constantly sought.
World Starport (St)[edit]
Hetage has a Class B Starport, a good quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and most kinds of repair, and construction of non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.
World Population (P)[edit]
Hetage has a population of 70 sophonts (tens).
- This is a Low Population World and the population would be too low to sustain itself without significant outside assistance. This may represent a transient population such as the crew of a starship, the final survivors of a dying colony, an advance team setting up to receive colonists, or a small outpost where establishing a colony is not the primary objective.
Urbanization[edit]
A single central facility, adjacent to the starport, with a few outlying structures and compounds.
- Almost all of the surface of the world is wilderness.
World Technology Level (T)[edit]
Hetage possesses a Technology Level of TL–10 or TL-A in Hexadecimal Notation.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Holovision, Personal Global Communications, and advanced Translators.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Increasingly advanced fusion plants and advanced fuel cells.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land & Water: Grav belts and maturing gravcraft.
- Air: Greatly improved hybrid grav-aircraft.
- Space: Improved interplanetary spacecraft (System Craft).
- FTL: Jump Drive-1.
World Government (G)[edit]
Hetage has no central government for the world, an Anarchy. The largest governmental structure would be a family, tribe, or single clan. The largest group will be between 50 and 100 individuals, and there may be dozens to hundreds of them. This governmental structure can be stable over long periods of time if the population remains small or geographically separated.
World Military[edit]
Privately retained security personnel.
World Law (L)[edit]
Hetage has a moderate law level with laws covering many areas of government and interaction. These laws are simple enough that most people can act as their own advocate, though for serious issues a professional is recommended. Law enforcement officials will be present, but not in great numbers. Light assault weapons, and anything more destructive, are typically regulated or prohibited.
Trade Data[edit]
- Importance: 1 (ordinary)
World Economy[edit]
- Resources: 5 (scarce)
- Labor: 0 (none available)
- Infrastructure: 1 (extremely limited)
- Efficiency: -1 (average)
World Culture[edit]
- Homogeneity: 1 (monolithic)
- Acceptance: 2 (very xenophobic)
- Strangeness: 3 (somewhat typical)
- Symbols: 8 (somewhat abstract)
World Timeline[edit]
- 300-420: the First Survey charts the system.
- 995-1065: the Second Survey charts the system.
- 1065: the Second Survey is published.
