Hammermium is a poor, nonindustrial world.
- As a nonindustrial world, it requires extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society. The need to import most manufactured and high technology goods drives the price of these goods up in the open market.
- This world has few prospects for economic development.
- It is a member of the Third Imperium in the Trin's Veil Subsector of Spinward Marches Sector in the Domain of Deneb.
- It is located within the Katarulu Cluster.
Description (Planetology)
Hammermium has a cool climate and a thin oxygen-nitrogen atmosphere.
History & Background (Dossier)
A poor, non-industrial Imperial world in the Trin's Veil Subsector of the Spinward Marches.
Hammermium is a charismatic dictatorship and in 1120 the planet was ruled by Count Jon Kantte.
- Technically, the Count was also head of Hammermium Corporation, a mercantile concern that profits from the very large volume of traffic coming into the Marches via Trin (Spinward Marches 3235).
- The corporation owns Hammermium's starport, as well as a private fleet of custom ships.
- Hammermium Corporation also subsidizes a few merchant vessels operating elsewhere in the Marches.
