== Description ([[Specifications]]) ==
The area is rich in Vargr cultures, cuisines, and experimental societies. Interstellar society evolves so quickly in this region that traders often find their notes from recent trade expeditions already obsolete by the time of their next foray. Widespread, organized development of the region has never occurred. Everything in the sector happens piecemeal and pennywise.

Only the most adventurous scouts from the [[Ziru Sirka]] ever made it this far and organized [[Vilani]] settlement of this area never occurred. The [[Vargr]] have occupied the area for as long as local records exist. Exact [[Zhodani]] involvement with the region remains mysterious, but was occuring in the [[-2400s]]{{Page cite|name=Vargr|version=Classic Traveller|page=45}}. Imperial traders now range the area, but that is a relatively new phenomenon.

Gvurrdon remains an astrographic region of medium [[stellar density]] with relatively larger areas of [[void]] between populated [[cluster]]s of [[civilization]]s. This makes it very difficult for J-1 [[starship]]s to freely operate. A widespread system of [[jump bridge]]s would be prohibitively expensive as well as beyond the organizational capabilities of the relatively unorganized [[polities]] of this region of the [[Vargr Extents]]. So the prices of interstellar goods within this area remains higher than average. It takes quite a brave and determined merchant to make it in this area.
