History and Background

Home to a large military base during the early years of the Julian War, this heavily fortified neighbor to Ikon (Empty Quarter 1602) was targeted by the Imperium for destruction. The Vargr population was well-prepared, and it took the Imperials four long years to reduce the defenses, finally resorting to gigaton bombs to kill the world properly. The Ovaghoun took the time to carefully repair the damage over the centuries, and the current population is now greater than it was before the Julian War.

World Starport

Gvurrdakh has a Class C Starport, an average quality installation which includes amenities including unrefined fuel for starships, some brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing maintenance and other kinds of repair. Ports of this classification generally have only a downport, unless this is a trade port or system with an hostile environment mainworld.
