Great Break

The Great Break is a mysterious potential event first alluded to by the Zhodani during early contacts with the Third Imperium. Sometimes referred to as simply "The Break", it is supposedly a universe-shattering event. The Zhodani do not like to speak of it, and do not provide details when asked.

Imperial strategists, historians, and xenologists are divided on the possible nature of the Great Break, and some later discussions within the faltering Imperium forget the Zhodani connection and equate the Rebellion with the Break. When the Zhodani choose to answer questions on the matter, this supposed equivalence is politely scoffed at.
