Grav tanks are military vehicles and often fusion-powered behemoths armed to the teeth with high-energy weapons.

Description (Specifications)

In the most literal sense, Grav Tanks are Main Battle Tanks (MBT's) although the civilian public often refers to all vehicles in military employ as "Grav Tanks" including all manner of Armored Fighting Vehicles (AFV's) and unarmored fighting vehicles (Softskins).

  • The term "Grav Tank", in proper military parlance, only refers to MBT's.

Grav Tanks can fly nap-of-the-earth and achieve orbit if sealed and the crew is provided with life support. The speed of these armored vehicles allows military forces to range over continents.

History & Background (Dossier)

Grav tanks develop at Tech Level-9 when anti-gravity lift becomes available. They tend to be very expensive and can carry enough armor and point defense fire control to render them nearly immune to tactical missiles and HEAP warheads which are the predominant anti-armor weapons of lower technology levels.
