Golden Age Starships 2: Corsair is a complete game supplement for the Mongoose Traveller roleplaying game. Full stats are included for Mongoose Traveller, but this supplement is suitable for use with any version of Traveller, or indeed with other rules sets.

This booklet contains complete information and deckplans for an upgraded variant of the 400 ton Corsair, known as the Buccaneer class. This corsair class is suitable as a ship that could be encountered by characters if they are travelling anywhere on the fringes of the Imperium and beyond, although the specific encounters listed in this book are located in the Spinward Marches. Alternatively, this design could be used as the basis of a corsair campaign, with the players taking roles as pirates. Any of the scenarios presented in this book could be used as the basis for a corsair campaign.

Golden Age Starships 2: Corsair also details five corsair bands operating in the Spinward Marches, along with artwork depicting each corsair. Each band is presented with Mongoose Traveller NPC statistics of the band's leaders and associates, strategy, tactics, operating area, known bases, and guidelines for characters encountering each band. One band is a privateer group, one a "chivalrous" operator, as well as three more conventional cut-throat bands.

While the corsair bands are presented as operating in the Marches, these can easily be lifted to any part of Charted Space and other times.

Author Quote: "As well as detailing the ships, Corsair provides colorful background details of several pirate bands, their leaders and their ships. These groups might be an incidental encounter, an ongoing nemesis, or players could become part of one of the bands for reasons of their own."
