Gnushkar is a hellworld with an inhospitable environment that makes conditions difficult for most sophonts.
- Hellworlds often offer daily, and sometimes even hourly, life-threatening situations. Those who dwell on such worlds often form intense survival skills and tend to be grim realists.
- It is an unclaimed Non-Aligned world located in the Galaxa Subsector of Mavuzog Sector.
- Gnushkar orbits the tertiary star.
- This die back world was once settled and developed, but the inhabitants have either died off or left leaving behind the ruins and remnants of their civilization.
- This a "forbidden" world designated as a Red Zone with an environment, laws, customs, life forms, or other conditions that make it extremely dangerous to visitors. Everyone is forbidden to travel here.
- This is a "low technology" world with technology competencies well below technology standards for Charted Space.
Description (Astrography & Planetology)
Gnushkar is a trinary star system.
- The primary is a turbulent red bright giant named Balshur.
- The secondary is an unstable orange subgiant named Saradax.
- The tertiary is a yellow main sequence named Gnush.

System Data
The worlds of the system have been surveyed. They consist of:
- The mainworld, orbiting the yellow main sequence star Gnush.
- x9 secondary worlds.
- x3 planetoid belts.
- x2 gas giants.
The turbulent primary and secondary stars generate a large amount of EM noise, enough to disrupt shipboard sensors and communications even at distances of thousands of AU.
Mainworld Data
Gnushkar orbits Gnush, the system's yellow main sequence tertiary star.
- Balshur, the primary red bright giant star, is clearly visible as a luminous disk in the sky even during daylight hours.
Mainworld Size (S)
Gnushkar is a Meso World between 5,600km and 7,200km in diameter. The world has low gravity between 0.32G and 0.46G. The horizon will appear about 3.6km away.
Mainworld Atmosphere (A)
Gnushkar has a pressure of 0.71 to 1.49 atmospheres. While a Standard Atmosphere does not require survival gear this atmosphere also contains an unusual taint such as such as disease, a hazardous gas mix, pollutants, or sulfur compounds which requires the use of a Filter Mask. Some taints may require more protective equipment. TL–3 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.
Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)
Gnushkar has 05-15% of its surface covered by liquid water or ice. Wilderness refueling will be difficult. Water for the inhabitants needs to be imported and extensively recycled. These worlds are Hell Worlds or Poor Worlds depending on their atmosphere.
Mainworld Geography and Topography
No centrally held map of the world exists within AAB Library Data records.
(Blank map, predominantly dry world.)
History & Background (Dossier)
Gnushkar is a Forbidden World and is designated as a Red Zone. It presents serious risks and dangers due to the environment or native life forms, laws or customs, or other conditions that make it extremely dangerous to visitors.
- Travel to this world is prohibited.
The primary and secondary stars are unstable, turbulent objects that pulsate, throw off huge stellar flares, and create enormous amounts of EM noise.
- Stellar activity seriously disrupts shipboard sensors and communications, even at very great distances.
- Heavy stellar activity may generate EMP events that will damage or destroy unshielded electronic systems.
World Starport (St)
Gnushkar does not have a starport. The Class X Starport is an indication that no starport exists in the system. There are no facilities or services available, and no site marked for landing.
World Population (P)
Gnushkar is a Barren World with no sophont population. It may still possess lifeforms.
World Technology Level (T)
Gnushkar has a die back Tech Level of TL–4.
- The world has no functioning technological base.
Salvage
- Remains on this world include processed raw materials, metals and alloys, and intact mechanical components and devices.
- These can be salvaged, but landing on the world's surface is actively discouraged.
World Government (G)
Gnushkar has no government or ruling authority of any kind.
World Law (L)
Gnushkar has no law level. No laws of any kind are enforced.
