The fleet was assembled at Kaets (Gvurrdon 2338) in late-1106 and early 1107 and included a large number of Corsairs.

The Gireel Fleet was destroyed in mid-1109 by the Imperial 212th Fleet - partly because the Corsair element could no longer see a profit and went home.
