The Speeder is a type of Grav Vehicle.
Description / Specifications
The Speeder is a medium sized grav vehicle primarily used to transport passengers.
Hull / Suspension
A boxy streamlined hull constructed from lightweight alloys and composite materials. The vehicle has small lateral lift surfaces (stub wings) that assist with aerodynamic manoeuvers.
- Length: 7.9m, Width: 3.9m, Height: 2.6m.
- Overall Volume: approximately 80.1m³ (6.0 dTons).
- Unloaded Weight: 9,800 kg.
The overall volume measures the vehicles maximum dimensions. The enclosed volume of the hull is lower. The vehicle is fitted with grav lifters and heavy grav modules located within the lower hull.

Power / Transmission
Closed fuel cells. The fuel supply is contained within protected tanks.

Crew
The crew compartment consists of a spacious centrally mounted enclosed cabin fitted with clear windows and containing two front seats and two large rear seats – up to two additional passengers can be accommodated though such arrangements are cramped. The vehicle is sealed and is fitted with basic life support, environmental systems and . The driver's position is equipped with advanced mechanical controls. A console / heads-up display provides data such as velocity and component status.
- Cargo Storage: approximately 57m³ (4 dTons).
- Maximum load: 500 kg (including passengers) before performance is impaired.
Equipment
Headlights and running lights. A small (typically 200 km range) communications and navigation system. The vehicle is fitted with a civilian-grade radar system with an effective range of 250 km, proximity sensors, a computer system and a variety of driver aids.
