The Large Helicopter is a large rotary-wing aircraft designed for the civilian market.
Hull / Suspension
An enclosed streamlined hull constructed from steel and lightweight materials.

The large helicopter has tandem rotor blades, one mounted forward and one mounted aft. The twin rotors counter-rotate in order to cancel out one another's torque effect.
The overall volume measures the vehicles maximum dimensions less the rotor blades. The enclosed volume of the hull is substantially lower. The rotor blades can be folded to lie along the length of the aircraft when it is being transported.
The undercarriage consists of retractible wheels mounted on a shock-absorbing suspension system.
Power / Transmission
Two efficient gas turbine power plants using hydrocarbon fuel: each drives a set of rotor blades. The fuel supply is contained within small protected tanks. The power plants are mounted in overhead nacelles located forward and aft, one below each set of rotor blades.

Crew
The body of the vehicle consists of a large enclosed compartment. The crew compartment consist of two seats located within a front part of the compartment: a third crewmember is often carried in the cargo compartment. The seats are fitted with safety harnesses. The vehicle has basic environmental protection (the hull is weatherproof but is not sealed) and is fitted with basic environmental systems and interior lights. Both of the front seats are fitted with mechanical controls. Consoles provide data such as velocity, altitude, and component status.
The vehicle has a large cargo hold accessed by sliding side doors and a rear drop ramp. Cargo may also be suspended below the aircraft on a sling. Some variants are fitted out as passenger transports: it can accommodate a maximum of 32 passengers, though some trade numbers of passengers for more spacious seating.
