The G-Hauler is a type of Grav Vehicle.
Description / Specifications[edit]
The G-Hauler is a large grav vehicle primarily designed to move bulk loads of cargo.
Hull / Suspension[edit]
A boxy streamlined hull constructed from crystaliron and lightweight composite materials. The vehicle has small lateral lift surfaces (stub wings) that assist with aerodynamic manoeuvers.
- Length: 14.8m, Width: 6.9m, Height: 4.4m.
- Overall Volume: approximately 450m³ (33 dTons).
- Unloaded Weight: 53,400 kg.
The overall volume measures the vehicles maximum dimensions. The enclosed volume of the hull is lower. The vehicle is fitted with grav lifters and low power heavy grav modules located within the lower hull.
- Maximum Altitude: Up to 1 planetary diameter (low orbit).
Power / Transmission[edit]
Closed fuel cells. The fuel supply is contained within protected tanks.
Performance[edit]
- Gravitic motion: up to 230 kph.
- Cruise Speed: 180 kph, Top Speed: 230 kph. NOP Speed: 50 kph.
- Duration: 15 days at maximum output.
Crew[edit]
The crew compartment consists of a front mounted enclosed cabin fitted with clear windows and containing three front seats – an additional passenger can be accommodated though such arrangements are cramped. The vehicle is sealed and is fitted with basic life support and environmental systems. The driver's position is equipped with advanced mechanical controls. An onboard computer system manages the vehicle and a console / heads-up display provides data such as velocity and component status.
The majority of the vehicle is given over to a large cargo hold, accessible via sliding side doors and a rear drop door. There is access from the crew compartment.
- Cargo Storage: approximately 290m³ (21.5 dTons).
- Maximum load: 35,500 kg (including passengers) before performance is impaired.
Equipment[edit]
Headlights and running lights. A small (typically 200 km range) communications and navigation system. The vehicle is fitted with a civilian-grade radar system with an effective range of 150 km, proximity sensors, and a variety of driver aids.
History / Background[edit]
A large commercial grav vehicle available in a variety of body styles and colors.
