Description[edit]
Forward Observers are those persons who are in the front-line of combat and observe both actual and potential targets, and the fall of shot aimed by Artillery units at those targets. They communicate the accuracy back to the firing units directly or via Fire Direction Centres so that the accuracy of the fire may be adjusted and effectiveness improved.
