Forum:Wiki updates posting to Discord
Per the request of the Admins at the Traveller RPG Discord server I've been looking into posting some of the updates in the wiki to the Discord, as a way of promoting the wiki, provoking discussion on the Discord, and just for random collections of things. I've been playing with various things to come up with interesting outputs. My current attempt:
- In the last 24 hours there were 118 changes made by 4 users, adding 19 new articles, and updating 99 articles.
- There were 16 notable changes with the largest article changes: House Ling, Referral-Tree-Defensive-Programs, Referral-Tree-Offensive-Programs, Gunner Program, Million Subsector.
- There were 17 notable new articles with the largest new articles: Fire Control Program, Virtual Crew Program, Intellect Program, Auto-Repair Program, Broad Spectrum EW Program.
I'm working through getting the system to parse a small section of a random page article into HTML so we can post an interesting article per day. But converting the Wiki format into Markdown is an interesting challenge. And we have a fairly limited number of characters to post everything to Discord.
