I've noticed that we don't seem to have a standardised way to refer to the various Traveller books? Or amI missing something, somewhere? I've noticed this because I've put links into some pages I've added to/created, only to find those pages don't exist under the title *I've* used, but the pages exist under a different title.

Obviously, I want to use whatever system is in place for linking/referring to books, but it isn't clear (well, to me, anyway) if there's a system in place for this.

Any thoughts or advice? Gruffty 10:50, 5 May 2007 (UTC)

The easiest way I have found is to locate (search) an article that has similar references; open the edit screen in a new window (or tab) and then just copying the the source template. Sstefan 14:55, 5 May 2007 (UTC)
Good idea, thanks for that. Now I just need to work out how to add the "categories" bit at the bottom of some of the pages I've edited/created. Gruffty 21:07, 5 May 2007 (UTC)
See Template: Sources for adding book references. See Template: LE and Template: LEN for adding the categories to the bottom of pages. Tjoneslo 02:11, 7 May 2007 (UTC)

The way to name the books are not clear. We have books like "Mercenary", or "Twilights Peak" which needs to be differentiated from the article, so we add the (book) designation. Then we get the whole "alien module N" or "Supplement N" vs the name of the book. However I thought that the vast majority are just the name of the book in question. Dcorrin 13:15, 8 May 2007 (UTC)
