I have just put up and Climate Key and an example file at and Climate/Gvurrdon. I have these for most of the sectors with datafiles. How should I put them up? (And yes, the programs that I used to create them will be made available - the CC-BY-SA isn't very suitable for programs, however (they're under a GNU license), so I'm not quite sure how to do that.) Thanks! Allens 23:18, July 24, 2010 (UTC)

: I've added to the :Template:InfoboxSector a new climatefile parameter. Set the parameter to true in the template used in each sector as you generate it. This will create a link in the template to the climate file page (a subpage called climate). Post the data in this page. This will make sure every sector has the climate data correctly linked to the sector. See Gvurrdon Sector for an example, where I copied your example.

: For the trade map generator program, since it was a single file, simply posted it as a page to this wiki. That may not work as well for larger projects. I would suggest selecting one of the Free svn hosting sites or github or launchpad and supply a link back here. ::Good point, it is multiple programs, even for getting the climate/density data (it's actually first translated into GURPS equivalents). IIRC, I have SVN installed locally. Allens 17:05, July 25, 2010 (UTC)

I have just put up Sandbox/Density and Climate Key and an example file at Sandbox/Density and Climate/Gvurrdon.

I've added to the Template:InfoboxSector a new climatefile parameter. Set the parameter to true in the template used in each sector as you generate it. This will create a link in the template to the climate file page (a subpage called climate). Post the data in this page. This will make sure every sector has the climate data correctly linked to the sector. See Gvurrdon Sector for an example, where I copied your example.
Thanks! I'll work on uploading the datafiles (they're already created, thanks to Make). Allens 17:05, July 25, 2010 (UTC)
For the trade map generator program, since it was a single file, simply posted it as a page to this wiki. That may not work as well for larger projects. I would suggest selecting one of the Free svn hosting sites or github or launchpad and supply a link back here. Tjoneslo 03:08, July 25, 2010 (UTC)
Good point, it is multiple programs, even for getting the climate/density data (it's actually first translated into GURPS equivalents). IIRC, I have SVN installed locally. Allens 17:05, July 25, 2010 (UTC)
