Forums: Index > Watercooler > New account Hi

Hi, I've been meaning to get around to creating an account for a while and have at last done it! I expect a small amount of introduction is appropriate. I'm from the UK, and have been around since the time of the first black books. I have a fair collection of books etc from the early stages so a reasonable library of my own to work from. I know I'm good at spotting inconsistencies and working out what is missing or can be introduced in databases. Are there any things to work on first, or do I choose something and get on with it? Are there things to avoid? Where is it best to look on the Wiki for style recommendations, shortcuts, etc? I haven't done much work with wiki setups but can usually work things out. Enough questions. I suggest reading our Manual of Style, which has some links to other sites regarding how to best edit and style articles. There is the Projects page which has a few items to work on if you need ideas. Mostly I recommend finding an area you are interested in and start adding or updating articles. If you have questions, posting them here or on the talk pages for an article and we'll point you in the right direction.
