There is a proposal to change the Template:Ludography cite "name" parameter to "title". This isn't difficult, and we can leave the template to accept both until we can have AB-101 go through and verify all of them have been updated.

In the same proposal would be to update Template:Page cite "name" parameter to "title" to match the above. Again not hard. But further to change the "pageCite" parameter to "name". This also can be done, but is more complicated (thank goodness the templates are Turing complete). The challenge here is the Page cite template is used for two different things and really should be two templates. This decision was make for the simplicity of users unfamiliar with the template system. So do we want to take this opportunity to pitch the Page cite template in favor to two templates with the correct parameter names. Tjoneslo (talk) 06:33, 16 June 2020 (EDT)

I am in favor of a rationalized template set for citations. I am still learning the system so the specifics of Page cite I need to leave for others. —¿philoserf? (talk) 07:21, 16 June 2020 (EDT)
