A meta-page that limits the amount of information? None that I know of... You may want to take a look at some of the pages that have been marked "Complete" to see where we have drawn the line between extracting enough information from a source, and not made source material irrelevant.--[[User:Sstefan|Sstefan]] 22:08, 19 March 2008 (UTC)

Hey!

I have Far Traveller 1 and 2 by FASA and there is some world data. Is it kosher to paraphrase the world information into a worlds article? I bet this is ok under Fair Use, right?

Let me know and I'll put up the entry for Roakhoi (EA 0404 in Reaver's Deep Sector, also spelled Roikhoi). --Pete 02:10, 11 March 2008 (UTC)

Fair use does not cover that. Fair use is when you quote a section of text to illustrate a point, or make a review. You could include them as "Library Data" which we have permission to re-print, but I would still not copy the entire text. Dcorrin 13:53, 11 March 2008 (UTC)
That was what I wanted to hear. There is a lot of detail, my plan is to shorten and summarize what the AAB would consider "Library Data". Is there a meta page that tells what sources cannot be used in this manner?Pete 15:41, 17 March 2008 (UTC)

A meta-page that limits the amount of information? None that I know of... You may want to take a look at some of the pages that have been marked "Complete" to see where we have drawn the line between extracting enough information from a source, and not made source material irrelevant.--Sstefan 22:08, 19 March 2008 (UTC)
