Description (Specifications)
The rank of Flight Leader (O3) is the commissioned officer rank in the Imperial Army COACC that is second in command of a Spaceship, or commander of a Flight of 3-5 Aircraft/Gravcraft or ground elements or has duties of similar importance. When the rank is used for Staff positions, the term Staff Lieutenant is used instead.
The equivalent rank in the Imperial Navy is Lieutenant.
The equivalent rank in the Imperial Marines is Captain.
The equivalent rank in the Imperial Army GFC is Captain.
History & Background (Dossier)
The term Flight Leader indicates that the person holding the rank is the leader of a Flight. It derives its name from the old Solomani rank of "Flight Lieutenant".
