The Five Sisters Subsector of Spinward Marches Sector is named for a group of systems (Mirriam, Jone, Karin, Ucella, and Penelope) known as the Five Sisters.
- Separated from the contiguous Imperium by nearly 10 parsecs at its closest, this region is the Third Imperium's most far-flung outpost, accessible only via a long communications link passing through the Sisters' Reach to the Sword Worlds or the Collace Arm and the wilds of District 268.
- The Five Sisters subsector has been under Imperial Naval administration (based at Iderati) since the Psionics Suppressions.

- Unclassified releases state that the subsector contains 27 worlds with a population of 953 million. The highest population is 500 million, at Mirriam (Spinward Marches 0333). The highest tech level is C at Karin (Spinward Marches 0534), Iderati (Spinward Marches 0732). The subsector capital is at Iderati (Spinward Marches 0732).

Originally known as District 267, the subsector is only sparsely settled, and depends upon Imperial payrolls for most of its internal economy.
- Some colonization attempts were begun under the auspices of Emperor Paulo I in 740, but all developmental activity was stopped under the Psionics Suppressions of 800.

The subsector's development lagged as a result of tensions with the Zhodani, and has only begun to open up since the Collapse. Much of its immigration has been undertaken by back to nature groups, and entrepreneurs of varying character. Quarantine regulations for extra-Regency trade is relaxed to permit greater trade, but then has to pass through a number of different quarantine posts in order to pass to the Regency safe.
