Felluc is a poor, low-population desert hellworld, with a population of less than 10,000 sophonts struggling to survive in a inhospitable environment.

  • Living on a hellworld is a constant struggle. Nearly every day and sometimes even hourly, the inhabitants of this world face life-threatening challenges.
  • This world has no free-standing water.
  • It is a Non-Aligned world dominated by human sophonts located in the Veesene Subsector of Halcyon Sector.

System Data

Salien-Felluc System

The primary is Salien, an ordinary white main sequence star. It has a luminosity of 6.26 Sols, a mass of 1.54 Sols, and a diameter of 2.198 million km. The inner system consists of (I) a vacuum worldlet, (II) a very thin atmosphere inner world, (III) a corrosive atmosphere inferno world, (IV) a corrosive atmosphere inferno world, and (V) a thin atmosphere hospitable world. (VI) Felluc orbits within the habitable zone and is designated the mainworld. (VII) a standard atmosphere bigworld, (VIII) an exotic atmosphere stormworld, and (IX) a sparse icy planetoid belt form the outer system. Many of the worlds retain satellites.

Mainworld Data

(VI) Felluc

(VI) Felluc is designated the mainworld. It orbits Salien at a mean distance of 2.69 AU (402.4 million km), within the habitable zone. It has an orbital period of 3 years 203 days and a rotation period of 19 hours. The axial tilt is 4 degrees. Felluc has a diameter of 8,399 km, a density of 5.34 g/cm³, and a surface gravity of 0.64 G. The world is geologically inert. Its atmosphere is rated as Thin, Tainted, with a mean surface pressure of 0.47 bar and a composition of 86% nitrogen, 13% oxygen, and 1% argon, water vapour, carbon dioxide, neon and other trace gases. The atmospheric taint is caused by the low percentage of atmospheric oxygen and by large amounts of airborne silicates and dust. Approximately 2% of the surface is covered in lakes of liquid water. Mean surface temperature: 47°C. The atmosphere is active and moderate weather systems driven by the star cross the globe. The climate is static.

Mainworld geography and topography

Total surface area: 222 million km², Land surface area: 218 million km², Water surface area: 4 million km².

Native lifeforms

Felluc has extensive but primitive native life, consisting entirely of microscopic cyanobacteria-parallels that exist in any location where they can find even a minimal trace of water. Their metabolic processes maintain a cycle of atmospheric renewal.

History & Background (Dossier)

No information yet available.

World starport

Felluc has a Class C Starport, an average quality installation which includes amenities including unrefined fuel for starships, some brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing maintenance and other kinds of repair. Ports of this classification generally have only a downport, unless this is a trade port or system with an hostile environment mainworld.

World technology level

Felluc possesses a Technology Level of TL–7.

  • Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Early video and early satellite communication networks.
  • Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Early fuel cells, solar energy, and geothermal power sources.
  • Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
    • Land: Improved automobiles, hovercraft, and bullet trains.
    • Water: Hydrofoils and early triphibians.
    • Air: Hang gliders and supersonic jets.
    • Space: Deep space probes and interplanetary spacecraft (System Craft).

World government

Felluc is governed by a Corporate Polity with a single corporation with a typical corporate structure as a government. A company town, or world. The typical corporate run world usually has a single purpose. Examples include mining, agriculture, or other kinds of resource extraction. But rather than a simple base of operations, there are facilities for housing workers and their families including hospitals, schools, and other infrastructure. How, or if, the children of the workers are incorporated into the workforce varies with companies. The corporation running the world may be a subsidiary of a larger interstellar corporation.
