[[EoS]] or [[EOS]] = End of Service
* ''EoS'' is the year when a craft or vehicle formally leaves operational service with Imperial forces whether in an active, reserve, or even mothball status.
** This applies to any Imperium, not just the [[Third Imperium]]. For instance, many classes of [[starship]]s went out of service during the [[Long Night]] after serving the [[Second Imperium]] and were never used by the [[Third Imperium]] or [[Fourth Imperium]].

== Description ([[Specifications]]) ==
''End of Service'' term is usually referred to as [[EoS]] or ''Sunsetting'' and refers to a time when the hull or frame is completely retired from service or sold to allies, at least in an official capacity. Such a [[hull]] might also disassembled, cut apart, and sold as scrap. 

A related term is ''[[IOC]],'' which is part of the procurement cycle as a new [[vehicle]], [[ship]], or other item goes through initial research, roof of concept, prototyping, and eventually reaches operational status.
