Edraconis is an agricultural world with an ideal environment for producing food from plants, animals, or other forms. The system has a population between 100,000 and 10 million sophonts. It is a member of Third Imperium in the Laraa Subsector of Dagudashaag Sector and in the Domain of Vland. Edraconis, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estate of an Imperial knight and the fiefdom of a baron. Both are members of the Imperial Nobility charged with overseeing the world. During the Long Night this world was named Imra Muu.

Astrography and planetology[edit]

E'Draconis is a member of the Sylean Main.

E'Draconis still retains its original Solomani name, one that dates back over five and a half millennia, a member of the constellation of the Dragon as seen from Terra. The planet lies on the edge of the habitable zone of the primary.

Lower Atmospheric Taint[edit]

Its inhabitants, of Solomani descent, live on the high slopes of the equatorial mountains of this dry, cool world. Far above sea level the settlers are able to breathe an atmosphere which down below is a dense cocktail of noxious sulfur and nitrogen gases laden with huge quantities of choking dust.

Water is collected from mountain streams and the edge of glaciers where it is free from the taint of the lower atmosphere. The dust particles are ever-present in the snow and ice but can be easily separated when they are left to stand and melt. The dust forms a rich silt within the mountains streams - the streams and the silt have been used in the construction of extensive terraces on the slopes.

History and background[edit]

The terraces are then used to support the luxuriant growth of the agricultural produce that earns this world its agricultural trade classification. The most notable export from the world are the Draconian wines, produced from genetically engineered variants of the Terran grape which have been adapted to the cooler environment and different light levels. The wines are much sought after and command high prices in the markets of the Imperial core.
